The best recipes I found driving around a Car Rental Mauritius
After just spending a memorable trip driving around a car rental Mauritus, I was back home in London missing the sunshine with all the sad weather around.
It had just been a week and I desperately wanted to go back, get in a car rental in Mauritius and continue exploring the sunny beaches and jungles.
But alas all dreams do come to an end. Especially the ones that involve salacious vacation destinations to be honest.
But nevertheless, I had to continue doing my work. Amidst all the chaos, what my taste buds missed the most was authentic Mauri food.
Although we get pretty decent Thai and Asian food in Soho, but I haven’t really found any authentic Mauritian eatery out here.
And the best part about my trip was that I enrolled myself in a week of cooking classes out there.
With the weekend hovering over I thought it might be a good idea to call my friends over for a traditional Mauritian meal.
It would definitely feed my stomach & soul for one and my close friends also get to taste this amazing cuisine.
A Unique Menu: All Thanks to my Car Rental Mauritius
Deciding the menu was tough. I had really fond memories of a lot of things I ate out there.
It’s amazing how the eating habits of Mauritian people directly reflect the ethnic diversity out there.
From Creole rougailles to Chinese sweet & sour pork there is so much variety in the food to suit different palates.
And let’s not forget the eggs and English bacon.
I had too many options and very less time to decide what to cook.
Trusting my gut and the experiences with my car rental Mauritius I decided to start brunch with some spicy gateau piment accompanied by curried prawns and cucumber relish.
I do remember reading about this in the Sainsbury magazine.
Lunch was a sumptuous meal comprising of Rougaille Saucisse, Salmon cakes, and Mauritian Style Chicken Biryani. And the meal ended with some coconut flan.

An Appetizing Brunch To Get You Started
Going back to my travels with a car rental Mauritius, I made sure to try out gateau piment or chilli flakes all around the island.
While driving to Port Louis I discovered this amazing curried prawns recipe that I somehow replicated at home.

A Foodgasmic Lunch Followed
The brunch was very appropriate with a little fried food, grilled and flavourful prawns and a refreshing relish to go along with it. We were ready for a heady lunch ahead of us.
I learned this chicken biryani recipe from an old chef at the Chateau. I still clearly remember my drive on my car rental Mauritius along the beautiful coastline.
The chef told me that there was something peculiar and indigenous about the traditional biryani he had in Mauritius as a kid.
And he was kind enough to share his recipe with me.
After all, he could see my love for food.
Although our lunch had a lot of dishes, here I’d like to share what my friends loved the most.
